Oyoe Quartey is a senior researcher who has been working in market and social research for over 18 years. She is currently the Head of the Qualitative Research Department for Random House Ltd. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and French. She also has attended various professional conferences such as ESOMAR congresses and qualitative conferences as well as a SAMRA conference. She has also benefited from training in areas such as project management & qualitative methods.
She has varied experience in qualitative research studies using different techniques & methods. Methods include FGDs, observations/ ethnos, depth interviews and in-home visits, Trade Visits, diary research. She also has exposure to online methodologies such as online interviews via conferencing platforms, online communities, online diaries, research apps. Types of studies she has worked on include concept evaluation, communication evaluation, U&A, program evaluation, packaging & name tests, CPTs, lifestyle studies, customer satisfaction, UX testing, New product development. She has also had the benefit of conducting fieldwork/ executing projects involving a wide range of target types including consumers of different ages/genders/ social classes, experts from different fields and representatives of organisations/businesses.
She has worked on several accounts both directly with primary clients or in collaboration with other research agencies and is able to adapt to the needs of the various parties involved. She has also benefited from experience in various sectors such as telecommunications, FMCG (including food & beverage, personal care, laundry, etc.), banking, media, textile, pharmaceutical, NGO. Some of the organizations which research was conducted on behalf of include Vodafone, MTN, Airtel, SAB Miller, Unilever, PZ Cussons, Friesland, P&G, Vestergaard, Watanmal, Cadbury, GTP, British Council, VOA. She is comfortable with both Business to Consumer research as well as Business to business research.
Countries she has conducted and coordinated research in include Ghana, Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Togo, Senegal, Cameroun & Sierra Leone.
